# Performance scans and monitoring

> Find slow code, bloat and breakage before your users do.

The **Performance** tab gives your app a health score and lists what's slowing it down or making it fragile — with a one-tap fix for each.

## What it looks for

<CardGroup cols={2}>
  <Card title="Slow paths" icon="turtle">Heavy pages, slow database queries and wasted work.</Card>
  <Card title="Bloat" icon="package">Oversized files, unused libraries and heavy images.</Card>
  <Card title="Stale code" icon="archive">Dead code, old content and leftovers from earlier builds.</Card>
  <Card title="Broken" icon="triangle-alert">Correctness risks — things likely to fail.</Card>
  <Card title="Maintainability" icon="wrench">Duplicate helpers and unused exports that make future builds slower and pricier.</Card>
</CardGroup>

Each finding has a severity. Fixes that only *remove* things are marked **safe** — they can't change what your app does.

## Quick and deep scans

Performance audits run on Claude Sonnet at medium reasoning. **Deep** reviews more files, more screenshots and more recent changes than **Quick**.

## Auto-clean

Turn on **auto-clean** and Aura applies the safe removals for you, every two weeks or monthly.

## Fix everything at once

When Security and Performance both have open items, **Fix all together** sends them as one build — cheaper than two.

## Monitoring: catch breakage

Monitoring checks your app after every build and on a schedule (daily or weekly, always or only when something changed). It reads your code and live error logs and runs a real smoke test of the live app, then reports actual breakage: sign-in, payments, saving data, dead buttons and integrations. It also scrolls each page fully and attaches a screenshot as proof of anything it reports.

Automatic monitoring runs on Gemini 3.8 Flash; a check you start yourself runs on Claude Sonnet.

## What it costs

| | Cost |
| - | - |
| Monitoring checks | Free |
| Performance audits | Credits, shown in **Usage & billing** |
| Applying a fix | A build run |

<Tip>Want a written plan first? Run [`/code-review`](/builder/skills) — it starts from your latest findings.</Tip>
