# Publish your app

> Go live for free and keep it up to date automatically.

Click **Publish** to deploy the current version to your live address. Progress streams in the **Logs** tab. Publishing is always free.

## Auto Publish

Once a project has been published, **Auto Publish** is on by default: it ships your latest successful changes once a day at 2:01 AM New York time. Use the switch next to Publish to turn it off or choose **Instantly**, **Every hour** or **Every 6 hours**. It's one shared setting for everyone on the project.

<Note>Live apps keep running — and using hosting credits — after you close the browser. Hosting is usage-based; see **Settings → Usage & billing**.</Note>
