# Frontier

> One frontier model of your choice, at the reasoning depth you set.

**Frontier** lets you pick one model and decide how hard it thinks. Use it when you prefer a specific model's strengths.

## Pick your model

| Model | Known for |
| - | - |
| **ChatGPT** | Strong everyday reasoning, writing and coding. |
| **Gemini** | Fast, low-cost reasoning; great with long documents and research. |
| **Claude** | Coding, technical and analytical work. |
| **Grok** | Real-time topics and research. |

## Set the reasoning level

| Level | What runs | Use it for |
| - | - | - |
| **Low** | The model's fast version (for example GPT-6 Luna or Claude Haiku) | Quick answers and simple tasks. |
| **Efficient** | ChatGPT-6.1 Sol, Claude Opus, Gemini 3.8 Flash or Grok at medium reasoning | Multi-step or tricky questions. |

<Tip>Efficient is the sweet spot. In Aura's benchmarks, medium reasoning matched or beat higher settings while costing far less.</Tip>

## How to use it

  <Step title="Pick a level and a model">Slide between Low and Efficient, then choose ChatGPT, Gemini, Claude or Grok.</Step>

## Privacy and Fast Mode

Frontier runs with **Zero Data Retention** by default. Like Orchestration, it has an optional **Fast Mode** that trades that protection for speed and shows a warning while on.

## Voice

Every Frontier model works with [voice mode](/chat/voice) and speaks its answers in a realistic AI voice.
