# Voice mode with Iris

> Talk with Aura hands-free.

Tap the microphone in the composer to start a live conversation with **Iris**, Aura's voice.

## Tips

* **Just talk.** Iris replies as soon as you finish speaking — no button needed.
* **Interrupt anytime.** Start talking while Iris is speaking and she'll stop to listen. Background noise and coughs are ignored.
* **Mute** with the mic button. While muted, Iris hears nothing and keeps talking at full volume.
* **End** with the **X**. Your transcript stays in the chat.

## Privacy

Voice mode shows **ZDR Enabled**: speech recognition and the voice itself run with zero data retention.

<Tip>Voice works great on phones. Use headphones in noisy places for the snappiest replies.</Tip>
